Valhalla Hamburgers

Hamburgers made with Valhalla Herb Liqueur – yes please! Learn how to make these mouth-watering hamburgers for the next cookout with friends or family.

Valhalla is a truly versatile drink. It can be enjoyed as a shot, on the rocks, turned into a cocktail or even used in cooking! When it comes to food, you can’t go wrong with a great hamburger so that’s exactly what we’ve created with Valhalla. Valhalla hamburgers

For 6 burgers you will need the following ingredients:

  • 6 rye breads or other type of bread suitable for hamburgers

  • 6 Valhalla burger patties

  • 6 tbsp Valhalla mayonnaise

  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 6 slices of fried bacon

  • 1 portion of caramelized red onions

Prepare the patties, mayonnaise, and onions first with the recipes below. Grill or roast the rye bread and assemble the burgers. Serve and enjoy immediately.

Valhalla burger patties

For 6 burger patties you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground beef

  • ½ dl Valhalla Herb Liqueur

  • 1 dl chopped parsley

  • 2-4 pcs garlic cloves (minced)

  • 3 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

Prepare the paste by mixing all ingredients together. Shape the paste into 6 patties and fry them either in a frying pan or over the grill.

Valhalla mayonnaise

For the mayonnaise, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 dl mayonnaise

  • 2 dl Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • ½ dl Valhalla Herb Liqueur

  • 1 tsp black pepper

Mix all the ingredients together. Use as hamburger sauce and/or as a dip for fries.

Valhalla caramelized onions

For the caramelized onions, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 6-8 pcs red onion

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp Muscovado sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ dl Valhalla Herb Liqueur

  • 2 dl water

Peel and slice the red onion into thin rings. Heat the oil and cook the onion on mild heat until it’s sauté. Add the other ingredients and let simmer on mild heat for 20 minutes until the liquid has evaporated.

The caramelized onions can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks. In addition to using them in burgers, they are a wonderful side dish to serve with grilled meat.
