Valhalla Nordic Herb Shot is a very unique herb liqueur

Valhalla is a Nordic Herb Shot developed and produced in Finland. It's a great drink for different occasions since it tastes delicious both ice-cold and in room temperature.

Valhalla liquor was inspired by the rough conditions of the Nordics. Valhalla is made from plants that have had to withstand rough conditions to survive and grow. During the long period of maturation, the Nordic plants form complex aromatic compounds. This evolutionary process is what makes Nordic plants unique, resulting in a distinctive and powerful taste.

Valhalla is made with Koskenkorva Vodka as the base and a mix of 15 herbs – mainly Achillea millefolium, Artemesia absinthium and Angelica archangelic. Different herbs are carefully selected, extracted and distilled.  The recipe is blended, then matured to allow the unique spices to meld together.

The harsh climate has shaped both the Nordic people and culture. A strong character can still be found in Nordic people. This same character shaped our folklore and our legends.

How Valhalla was developed

- Herb liqueurs are often such that one should consume them ice-cold. But with Valhalla, it really replicates the heritage of old times: it is equally tasty in room temperature, says Altia's Brand Ambassador Mikael Karttunen.

Therefor Valhalla is great in practical terms: it is easy to take it with you for weekend camping trip in the forests, for instance.

The spirit of Valhalla offers a taste of the legends of our heritage, combined with a blend of local herbs and bitters said to carry powers beyond this world.

Valhalla is available in Nordic Spirits in both glass and PET bottles. The original glass bottle makes a great gift, too.
